Transitioning From Tuscan Style To Farmhouse Style Decorating

Hello, sweet friends! Is anyone still around? Please pardon my absence from blogging. I just don’t have the time to blog and video like I once did, but when I do have something to share, I will.  I hope each and every one of you had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!
I really should re-title my blog and name it…
The Suburban Farmhouse,
because I am trying to transform my home from Tuscan to Farmhouse style. I know everyone has their own spin on “Farmhouse Style” so this is my version of it.
I ordered 2 pip berry garlands from Amazon and added 4 candle holders/4 LED Candles – on timers, and centered it all around my iron/wood gate and hung a spring wreath from it.  I do not decorate for Winter, I go straight to my spring decor, because it is cheerful and makes me happy. It reminds me of warmer/brighter days ahead. 😉
Guess what I did? I created this faux mantle. We have very tall windows and I wanted to add a focal point wall.  I moved my dining room to the living room, and my living room to the dining room, and I am LOVING it!
The little pops of yellow and blue are so soothing and cheerful.
We don’t use our dining room often, so I decided to accessorize and dress the room as if it were staged, ha!
These are some accessories on the side buffet.
I added some faux bread to this basket.
At the other end of the table I added some faux artichokes in a white bowl. Remember, this is purely for looks…just something pretty to look at as we pass by this room. 😉
The brown 1980’s hutch will be chalk painted white, soon!
I have more to show you in this room, but I am still working on a few things.
I am looking for a huge area rug to go under the table, but I haven’t come across one I like yet. So I sit and I wait….

It’s been so-so cold outside, so I had to bring some spring colors inside. 🙂

I just purchased the hutch you see in the background – with the market sign on top. I love this new piece.
What I think is missing and so desperately needed is a large area rug and some extra long curtains to add warmth to the space.
I’m trying to add more pops of white with natural wood colored – rustic pieces.
I went to Hobby Lobby last week and found some great Farmhouse style accessories….oh boy!!
So that’s it for today, ladies! I have so much to show you.
I hope I can find some time to add some videos to the mix.
I have four daughters all in cheer, 3 are in school cheer, plus all four are in competitive cheer, and tumbling classes. Two are also in choir, so we are a busy family. I’m always taking pictures and video when I decorate, but just when I think I have time to post something, somebody has to go here, or there, so this mom never gets around to doing it. lol! …Motherhood!

Fall Series #6: 1980’s Hutch Decorated For Fall – My new find!

Hi there, I hope you all are doing well. 🙂 Today, I would like to share my new “find” – a hutch decorated for Fall!
V I D E O * B E L O W
Don’t you just love Fall? I do!
Who grew up in the 80’s? Me, me, me, me!! So I found this hutch at a used furniture store, and fell in love with it, it’s from the 1980’s. SOLD!  I have big plans to chalk paint it in a few months, but for now, I’m leaving it the way I found it.
I was going to leave it in the garage until I have time to paint it, but noooooooo, I had to bring it in and decorate it for fall.
I love the autumn leaves and the twinkle lights at night.
Do y’all remember Mr. Owl, those of you that have followed me awhile? I bring him out every year.
A peek of the hutch next to the dining room.
This will probably be white soon. I’m going to go for a farmhouse look, or coastal look….we shall see! 😉
I can store a lot of things in this hutch, so that is a huge score.

Fall Series # 5: Kitchen Mantle Decorated For Fall

Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Today, I would like to share my kitchen dining room mantle decorated for fall.

Many of you don’t know this, but last year I changed my style in a few rooms. I went from Tuscan Style to Coastal. Now, I am heading in the direction of Country Farmhouse Style. I love to change things up around here!

We love on 10 acres, so it seems only fitting to go ~ country farmhouse style.

Last Spring, we did this batten and board wall.  I wanted to add a shelf that would mimic a mantle, where I can display things through there seasons. So, this is what we came up with.

My wall is blue with a wet chalk paint technique, which went with my coastal theme, but I think it works for now. I kind of like the blue with the orange, it pops!

Take a look at my video, if you’re so inclined – I will share how I came up with this look from start to finish.

Thanks for visiting me, I do appreciate it! XOXO, ~Liz

Fall Series #3: Simplistic Fall Display

Simplicity At It’s Best
Here is my VIDEO
Hi guys, today I would like to share another table display all ready for Fall.
There’s not much to the display, as I am keeping it basic and simple.
I LOVE AUTUMN
Thanks for visiting and I’ll see you soon! XOXO

Welcome To Our Home ~ Via Drone!

Good morning!! Today, I will share a new experience on my blog, come see our home ~ via drone! Video below –
I started decorating our front porch for Fall. It needs some jazzing up, so this is only the beginning stage.
Here is the front door with two Autumn garlands and greenery mixed in.
I love adding fall pillows to the mix, it makes the front porch appear welcoming and homey.
I found my Autumn garlands at Ross and they were very inexpensive, and then I added green floral picks from Walmart. Cheap, cheap, cheap!!!
I love the bright Autumn colors.
This look will change for sure, but this is how it looks for the time being! 😉

Thanks for visiting and come back and see me soon! xoxo

Fall Series #2: Table Display In Hallway

Hi Y’all! Thank you for the warm reception back, it means a lot! Today marks #2 in my fall series, join me and I’ll show you how I decorated a table in my hallway.
Let’s begin with my metal/wood distressed wall art. I LOVE this piece and I decorate it year round with seasonal wreaths.
I went to Hobby Lobby last week and was inspired by all the lovely Autumn decor and decided to buy a few new pieces to decorate with. The table you see in this photo was 50% off, score!
I purchased these rustic candle holders at Hobby Lobby and placed my favorite peach/pumpkin candles on top.
I found this Fall Sign at Hobby Lobby, 40% off and placed a glittered green pumpkin beside it.
I found these two beautiful glass pumpkins at Pier 1 Imports and the stands, too!
When I walk by this display it makes me smile. I am really enjoying the transition from summer to Fall.
Be sure to come back, because I have so much to show you.
((Hugs)) & Love,
Liz
