Farmhouse Vignette – On The Upstairs Landing!

Welcome! Come see me decorate a table and wall space on the upstairs landing!
(VIDEO BELOW)

So typically before I place things on the wall, I will map out the look I’m going for on the floor, this allows me to get a visual before I nail things into the wall permanently.
Everything you see here is from Hobby Lobby, minus the wreath, which is from Homegoods.
I am loving the look of my shop light, I really think it adds to the farmhouse look I am aiming for.
So as you come up the stairs, this is the new look! I hate that ugly almond colored light switch, so excuse that….all of my outlet covers need to be changed out. Can you say…DATED?
At night, this area looks so cozy! I am all about the ambiance. 😉
I hope you guys like this look, let me know what you think.
Thanks for visiting!

  1. I love it, Liz. It is really lovely and the shop light adds so much. It is a pain to change out all those switch plates. We have had to do that several times in our houses as we moved into them. It is nice when it is all done though…and is a little change that doesn't break the bank. Have a great week, pretty girl! xo Diana

  2. Hi Diana,Happy Monday! I hate to spend the money on switch plates but it must be done, ha! I hope your granddaughter is doing better, keeping her in my prayers. xoxo ?

  3. Hi Liz! I love your vignette!! It looks so pretty! I agree with you about not painting the table . It looks warm and cozy with the mixed tones. Love it! Take care !

  4. Love the new vignette as well! I agree that the different woods add interest for sure and warmth. I'm curious to know what is "in" now for switch plates.Have a great day and thanks for sharing.Take careJeannette

  5. Hi Jen,You know what, I wish I new. I'll have to look into it. A friend of mine had a house built and her switch plates were white and craftsman style and I REALLY liked them. I repainted a few walls in my house and I hand painted the plates white, lol! I am desperate!! ha! Thanks for visiting! xoxo

  6. Oh my goodness Liz I love it all. I went from My Tuscan feeling go to also farmhouse rustic glam and I'm loving it. I have been collecting Rae Dunn for about 5 years now and I decorate with it all the time. I also like all of the pioneer woman stuff. Glad to seeing you post a little more be blessed.

  7. Yes, having the mix of woods and color does work beautifully! To me, farmhouse style is really about mixing all kinds of things…old farmhouse families didn't have the luxury of buying everything new. Those homes were filled with an eclectic collection of whatever worked, so I love seeing the mix.Warm hugs,Carol
