Here are a bunch of house photos, just for you….

Ok, so since I’ve been away for awhile now, I thought it was only fair to share a bunch of pictures for you! 🙂 These pictures are totally random and not at all in sequence, but thats ok, right?
So as you enter through the front door, you see a split staircase.
The foyer area is very roomy and spacious.
The living room and dining room are on one side and the office and hall bathroom are on another.
This table is used to throw are keys on after running kids back and fourth all day, ha!
I found this candle holder at Pier 1 Imports. The candle is peach and smells wonderful.
This is the living room. Traditionally, the living room shouldn’t have a TV, but this works for our family, or this room would barley get used, ha!
 Another look into the foyer.
Here is a look into the living room from the dining room.
I love the arches in this house that are trimmed out.
The large arched windows bring lots of light into the space which I love.
Here is the front office.
Office shelves decorated.
This is a window in the dining room.
I’m still into the Tuscan style decor, but slowly incorporating lighter and brighter items.
A look into the dining room.
 A closer look…
See all the arches in the house, I love that architectural detail.
The trimmed arches follow the window arches.
I added these faux apples and greenery to this table.
This is the kitchen area.
I love the big island area. Plenty of room for the kids and everyone to sprawl out.
I found the hanging candle chandelier at Ross and added greenery to it.
Here is a pano/photo of the kitchen.
Can you see that sign to the left of the picture? It says….Our Happy Place. I love that sign, I found it at Pier 1 last week.
 Another shot.
Lastly, this vignette is in my family room niche, very Tuscan in style.
Well, thanks for stopping by. Now you got to see a portion of the downstairs area. Hopefully, next time I can post the family room, other dining area, and laundry room/mud room.
xoxo, Liz
P.S. Sorry for the dull lighting, it’s a rainy day today.

Happy Summer

Hi Friends, sorry I’ve been MIA for so long, I’ve been one busy gal this year. I’m not giving up blogging, but will post when I can and more during the holidays, my favorite time to share. 🙂
This past weekend, my husband and I went to a winery and when I saw this arrangement I just had to snap a photo, along with some other ladies who found the arrangement just as enduring as I. What a cute and unique idea, right?
Such a wonderful and picturesque day.
A little wine, some pretty scenery, and a little food…what could be better?
So let’s move on to a little decorating, shall we? I completely rearranged a few of my rooms in the house, for example, I moved the dining room to the family room. In the dining area, I created a computer niche. It’s “practical” vs. pretty, but it works for us.
I definitely like display shelves, so these work for me. I love decorating throughout the seasons, so these shelves create the perfect backdrop to be able to display seasonal items for fall, winter, spring and summer.
I may add some trim at a later date. These are cheap Walmart shelves, $29.00 a piece.
Also, removing the dining room from this area really opened things up, it’s a lot more airy now.
I get bored with my knick-knacks, so I like to go down to my basement storage room and go shopping, and change things up.
I change out my greenery for the seasons, too!
I’m completely obsessed with chicken and rooster decor. I found this at HomeGoods.
I added some sunflowers to my tin flower baskets.
I placed these egg holders in the center of this glass cloche platter.
A few more accessories I found at HomeGoods.
Lastly, this is our newest family member, Ralphie the Yorkie, all of 3 pounds. He is such a sweet and entertaining puppy. We absolutely adore him.
Thanks for visiting, and enjoy the summer!
XOXO ~ Liz

New Curtains Ordered From Wayfair

Happy Friday! Today, I would like to share some new curtains I ordered from wayfair.com. A home, just isn’t a home (to me) if it doesn’t have the warmth of curtains on the windows.
I purchased the Stripped Faux Silk Taffeta Curtains. I like my curtains to slightly puddle on the ground, so instead of the 84″ standard window length, I got the 50″X108″ length.  I am so pleased with the quality. These curtains are heavy and lined with white on the inside. I think they really look like silk, but without the price, faux is just fine with me. 😉
I had initially thought to use curtain clips, but decided that I liked the
Pole Pocket with Hook Belt and Back Tabs just fine.
I purchased the curtain rod from Home Depot.
See, is this window calling for curtains, or
what?
I hung the curtains and then decided I needed to add a little Tuscan flair! 😉 So, up went a metal wall embellishment.
See, this window just needed a little drama. Boring to better, right?
I started to move my accessories around, brought in some black accents (like a bookcase) which I am using to showcase some cute kitchen/Tuscan-style decor.
I love the colors yellow, red, gold, brown, and green together.
I tried to find items in my storage area that would coordinate with my new curtains.
Does it look Tuscan-esque to you?
My chairs go well with the curtains, too!
To the far left, I removed the wall shelf and brought in the black bookcase. As cheap as the bookcase is, I still like seeing my nick-nacky things. I can’t help myself, lol!
(a few pictures down, you’ll see the bookcase)
I added a lemon next to Mr. Roo for summer!
Here’s my old Walmart bookcase.
I love displaying this cookbook, Savoring Tuscany.
Adding little jugs and topiary plants here and there.
Placed a fork and spoon in this container….to add a little kitchen feel to it!
I like to add lots of garden balls into my summer decor, actually they are a staple in my everyday decor. Ha!
Here is the Rooster arrangement I just shared.
Here sits another Roo right on top of the black bookcase.
Adding lemons and oranges to my summer decor.
Lastly, and it’s so true…the kitchen is the heart of the home! 🙂
Isn’t is funny how changing one thing (in my case, the curtains) leads to more changes in accessorizing, or re-arranging furniture? Does that happen to you, too? 😉
Cha-cha-changes! I liked these curtains so much, I ordered another set for my sliding glass door. I’ll share that soon!
Have a great weekend, everyone!

Rustic Tuscan Style Shelving ~ Using Fence Posts

Hi there, today I would like to share a creative, yet VERY simple and inexpensive way to create shelving in your home.
In the above picture, you will notice the woodwork on the wall, my idea was aimed to find something similar in color for my shelf idea.
I ran to Home Depot and found two pre-stained Fence Posts, only $11.00 each. I kept them just they way they were, because I love a rustic look! If you want to make this shelf, but want a different finish, just get the plain wood and stain it to your liking.
I like seeing the knots and imperfections in the wood…that’s what gives it character. 🙂
I didn’t know what to do with this wall, so the fence posts filled it in well. I ran to Hobby Lobby to get wall brackets because I saw them on sale last week for 50% off.  I screwed the fence posts in side by side to give me the width I was looking for to be able to accessorize with different items.
My wall brackets, only $3.99 each at HL.
I sat two Tuscan jugs side by side and added some greenery.
Now although the colors aren’t a perfect match (the wood trim and shelving) it’s close enough.
A simple shelf can fill a large wall space nicely, and for $30.00 and some change, not bad!
This greenery is also from Hobby Lobby, $11.99 original price, now 50% off.
I originally got two larger brackets that were too big, so what did I do with them? I used one of them to accessorize with in the photo above. Why not, right? It looks Tuscan, so I used it! 😉
The metal and wood wall embellishment is also from HL, now 50% off.
I did this very look in my living room, because the house did not come with a mantle, so I replicated it on this wall.

I’ll show you the whole room soon, one more wall to fill. HA!
Thanks for stopping by! XO, Liz
