Fall Broomstick

Hi there! Yesterday, while at the grocery store, I spotted a Fall Broomstick in the floral section of Safeway. I thought it was a cute idea for fall. So, I gathered my supplies and headed home to make one.
If you have a Safeway close by, you can pick up several different styles of leaves and dried ones, too! This is what I picked up!
I got two different colors of ribbon, I love the silk ribbon, burlap would be another great idea, too!
There are different aromatic broomsticks to choose from, I got the Pumpkin Cinnamon, it smells soooooo good!
You can use a hot glue gun, but I decided to use some garden wire instead, easy!
Just tie your bundle of leaves together using the garden wire and finish off the look by tying your silk ribbon over the garden wire to conceal it.
I double tied my bows.
Isn’t it a cute idea for Fall? Thank you Safeway! 😉  Of course, if you do not have a Safeway in your area, you can find these items at any craft store.
I love the pop of color against the dark broomstick.
I may make another broomstick and hang two on my double French doors.
Well, I hope you like this idea, the creativity is endless.  If you make one, I would love to see it!
Thanks for visiting! xo, Liz

Dollar Tree Fall Candles

Hi there, I’m back with another quick Dollar Tree idea! I purchased three glass candle holders, 1 bag of faux fall leaves, three small candles, and some rope. Total cost $8.00. CHEAP!
I had a bag of faux pumpkins that I purchased from Target last year, and I dropped a thin layer of pumpkins into each glass holder and placed a candle in each one.
I then tied two leaves onto each glass candle holder using rope.
I placed the candles into a tuscan style tray and then added corn and a few wooden acorns.
I just love all the fall colors together.
Whala, wall “fall” vignette, complete!
I like the fall candles up next to the Roo pictures.
This is how it looks without the candles lit.
Now look how pretty they look WHEN lit!
I just love the glow of Autumn.
Simple. Inexpensive. Festive.
If you decide to make a few of your own, enjoy the beautiful glow, I sure am! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by! xoxo, Liz

Putting My Passion To Work

Fall is my all time favorite time of year. The cool crisp air, the changing of the leaves, spiced pumpkin candles, amber colored sunsets, fall boots and sweaters….be still my heart!  When August rolls around, I can’t hold back any longer, it’s time to decorate for FALL.
My true passion is decorating for Fall and Christmas. I really put my heart and soul into it. I do decorate early to enjoy it for as long as I can. 🙂 Are any of you the same way?
Last week, I worked hard and pulled out all my fall goodies.
I purchased this Autumn arrangement from Hobby Lobby years ago and look forward to bringing it out each year.
See these pumpkins? I purchased these from the Dollar Tree last year and placed them in a basket. Simple, but cute!
I love my Roo’s, so all I did here was add some fall leaves to my greenery and a sunflower, whala…Fall!
I think it’s great if you can add to existing arrangements, or greenery, so all I did here was place some fall corn on top of my arrangement.
In the photo above, I sat a small pumpkin on top of a small floral arrangement, adding that simple fall touch.
In the photo above and below, I got creative. I used two tuscan canisters, except, I tipped them upside down so I could use them as pedestals to showcase my pumpkins.  I liked the decorative base on them and wanted it to be visible. Why not, right? The tops are hidden, so no one would ever know. 🙂
I love the yellow Rooster against the orange in my wreath, the colors just POP!
I like to layer my greenery to add texture.
I added some fall corn to a basket and sat it on some faux Rosemary.
I have two lanterns hanging on either side on my hutch. So, I took two ordinary candles and jazzed them up a bit. I took two fall leaves and tied them around the candle with rope and tied a pumpkin embellishment to it!
Cute and simple.
Here is the hutch decked for Fall.
Add to your existing decor by simply adding fall leaves. I got this fall bushel from the Dollar Tree, $1.00….pick up several and place the leaves next to your everyday decor for that simple Autumn touch.
Or, place a pumpkin here and there.
Leaves can make a big impact without breaking the bank. Simple and pretty!
In this photo, I added some fall berry garlands to my topiary trees. The berry garlands add a great pop of fall color right where you need it.
Add to your existing faux ferns. I placed pumpkin sticks (which can be purchased from Safeway) right smack in the middle of the arrangement, and a few fall floral picks, easy peasy!
If you go to Michael’s, or any craft store they usually sell fall “fillers” to be placed in bowls, candle sconces, jars, etc…. I picked up a box and filled my candle scones with these fall colored Styrofoam balls.  See the pumpkin I set on top? Well, it’s actually a salt and pepper shaker, LOL! Whose going to know, right?
I love the pop of color when I enter the Dining Room.
You could place a small candle in amongst the Styrofoam balls, too!
Hutches are always fun to decorate through the seasons.
Our Fall Dining Room, comfortable, cozy, and casual!
Love the Autumn glow to the room.
I hope you enjoyed some of my fall ideas. I can’t wait to see everyone’s fall decorating, I just love this time of year! Thanks for stopping by! XOXO, ~Liz

No More “Cookie Cutter” Kitchen

Hi there, friends! Today, I would like like to share my new display cabinet in the kitchen. A cabinet to display things for every season!
I like to branch away from “cookie-cutter” kitchens. Why not personalize a kitchen to your style and decorating taste, right? So, that’s what I did!
I removed the cabinet doors and hardware,  removed the shelves, and then ran to Home Depot for some spray paint primer, and some paint.
I purchased these shelf brackets from Home Depot to add some extra support.
I decided to go with Black paint, I thought it would look good against the warm colored cabinets.
You can see the paint is drying in the photo above.
I couldn’t wait to start accessorizing for Fall.
I started with the top shelf and began to layer things. I started with some green floral pieces and then added a fall garland to that. I placed a pumpkin on a pedestal and then added pumpkins, fall corn, and a fall berry garland to finish the look.
I added an Autumn sign, and below that shelf, a Rooster Platter and some pumpkins propped up on candle holders. Lastly, I placed an acorn and one more pumpkin beside it, and whala, project complete!
I am proud to report that my house is all decorated for fall. The only thing left to do is my “Fall Tree” but I will hold off a few more weeks. The house looks so warm and cozy, I have so much to share, can’t wait!
Thanks for visiting! XOXO, ~Liz

Kicking Off My New Fall Series, You Ready?

Hi there, friends! Today, I’m kicking of my new fall series with 2 cute Dollar Tree finds/ideas. Today, while at Dollar Tree trying to conjure up something cute and festive for Fall, I came across these little candle cupcakes.
How cute are these little cupcakes? The color orange is what drew me to them, perfect for Fall!
$4.00 (a dollar each for each cupcake) + a dollar for the bag of leaves = $5.00 for a simple idea, right?
See the candle wick? Simply pull it out, it comes out super easy!
Do you have a small cloche at home? If so, pull it out, even a cute dish or small decorative plate would work, too!
Grab a bag of fall leaves.
Place some leaves down and set the cupcakes on top, easy-peasy!
See, it’s a pretty cute display for any kitchen, or table vignette.
Ok, here is idea #2 below…
I had this cloche, and purchased the tiny wreath at the Dollar tree and set it inside the cloche.
Next, I added some moss on the inside of the wreath.
Dollar Tree has a new item this year, Fall Corn. I purchased 3 and placed them on top of the moss. It’s all about layering.
I love the little beads on the corn.
(3) corns + 1 bag of moss + 1 wreath = $5.00
So, for $10.00 total for both ideas….CHEAP!!
Tomorrow my fall bins come out, so tons more ideas on the way!
Thanks for visiting!
xoxo, Liz

Fall Frenzy

Alright, alright, who is seeing the fall frenzy all over town? Well, just about everywhere I go, FALL decor is everywhere!!! I am now suffering from “fall” on the brain, I can’t stop obsessing over how I will decorate this year.
I am so ready for boo-blinker lights, orange, green, brown, red, and yellow colors filling the house.
I also can’t wait for the smell of pumpkin spice candles.
Fall crafting is always fun, there is so much inspiration out there. I made these last year.
Are you seeing Fall decor in your town?
I usually start before school starts, but why not sooner? Hmmm…..because I can, and I’m crazy that way, ha! 😉

This was my kitchen mantle last year, cozy!

Are you ready for some fall cooking? I am!
Are you ready to get your chalkboards ready to say…
I’m ready to get my fall table runners out and pretty fall arrangements.
I’m looking forward to adding to existing greenery by simply adding a few fall floral pics.
So, my question to you is….
Would you like me to share my fall decor sooner than later?  I am seriously debating pulling out my storage bins and starting the fall transformation.
(Where is the blush icon?)
Let me know when you start you’re fall transformation, I would love to know!
Tootles, ~Liz
