Fall Series # 5: Kitchen Mantle Decorated For Fall

Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Today, I would like to share my kitchen dining room mantle decorated for fall.

Many of you don’t know this, but last year I changed my style in a few rooms. I went from Tuscan Style to Coastal. Now, I am heading in the direction of Country Farmhouse Style. I love to change things up around here!

We love on 10 acres, so it seems only fitting to go ~ country farmhouse style.

Last Spring, we did this batten and board wall.  I wanted to add a shelf that would mimic a mantle, where I can display things through there seasons. So, this is what we came up with.

My wall is blue with a wet chalk paint technique, which went with my coastal theme, but I think it works for now. I kind of like the blue with the orange, it pops!

Take a look at my video, if you’re so inclined – I will share how I came up with this look from start to finish.

Thanks for visiting me, I do appreciate it! XOXO, ~Liz

Fall Series #2: Table Display In Hallway

Hi Y’all! Thank you for the warm reception back, it means a lot! Today marks #2 in my fall series, join me and I’ll show you how I decorated a table in my hallway.
Let’s begin with my metal/wood distressed wall art. I LOVE this piece and I decorate it year round with seasonal wreaths.
I went to Hobby Lobby last week and was inspired by all the lovely Autumn decor and decided to buy a few new pieces to decorate with. The table you see in this photo was 50% off, score!
I purchased these rustic candle holders at Hobby Lobby and placed my favorite peach/pumpkin candles on top.
I found this Fall Sign at Hobby Lobby, 40% off and placed a glittered green pumpkin beside it.
I found these two beautiful glass pumpkins at Pier 1 Imports and the stands, too!
When I walk by this display it makes me smile. I am really enjoying the transition from summer to Fall.
Be sure to come back, because I have so much to show you.
((Hugs)) & Love,
Liz

Decorating A Wall Shelf For Fall + Video

Hi there! Join me and ill show you how I decorated a wall shelf for fall. I wanted this shelf to be fun for the kids. My girl’s love squirrels, so the squirrels were my inspiration.
I started out using raffia as my base (on top of the shelf) and I decided to give the raffia a haircut as you will see in the video. I wanted the raffia to mimic hay. Once I got the look right, I began to add items.
*BELOW IS MY VIDEO*
I found the squirrels at Walmart, on clearance for $1.00, score!
I had this wreath and decided to hang it from the wall shelf hooks because all the colors coordinate well.
I added two candle holders on either side and placed pumpkins on top of each one.
I added acorns, pumpkins, and gourds on top of the raffia.
I love all the warm fall colors on this shelf.
It looks like harvest time on the shelf.
Aren’t they cute? Well, thanks for stopping by, hope y’all have a great day! ~Liz

DIY Spray-Painted Canning Lid Pumpkins + Video

Hello!  Today, I am sharing a DIY project that’s not only fun to put together, but inexpensive to make.
 Here’s how I made these pumpkins>
SEE  *V I D E O* BELOW.
I love crafting projects and these are so simple to make.
I got all my supplies from Walmart. You’ll need the following:
Canning Lids, Spray-paint , Yarn to tie the rigs together once they are dry, Scissors, Cinnamon Sticks for the pumpkin stem, and a glue gun.
I spray painted my rings the metallic color first, let that dry, and then did a light coat of orange on the top. I tried to do a spotty job, as I wanted the pumpkins to have the appearance or variance of different shades.
So, some rings are darker in color, while others are lighter. It doesn’t need to be perfect. Once you get the rings spray-painted and dry, you’ll take your yarn and place the rings on the yarn like a bracelet. Pull them together in a circle and tied it tight, and then you can arrange your rings.
Next, you’ll want to hot glue three cinnamon sticks together for the stem, and then put a bead of glue around the base of the stem and place it directly in the middle of your pumpkin.
You can take the lid and spray paint it and glue it to the bottom of the pumpkin to have a flat surface, but I decided not to do that, I preferred it the other way.  I just wanted to show you that you can do this, if you like.
You can add raffia and tie a bow around the stem, add some fall leaves and hot glue those around the stem, whatever you like. I kept mine simple and tied the yarn in a bow around the stem.
Aren’t these pumpkins cute?
You can leave the rings more open, or have them closer together. You can place burlap through the rings and have it scrunched inside which looks adorable, or even place some orange light through the rings and then move your rings into place.
Simple. Simple. Simple.

Fall Entertainment Center

Happy Friday, Friends! Today, I would like to share my Entertainment Center decorated for Fall.
On the top two shelves I have two large oversized plates in green and brown. I keep these plates out year long.
I placed a pumpkin on top of my book boxes.
On the lower two shelves, I placed two Autumn plates on either side, and accessorized with a Fall arrangement, a black bird, and a basket with a pumpkin sitting in it.
Here is the middle portion decorated. See my Owls up top? I placed the Owls in amongst greenery, fall leaves, pumpkins, and corn.
I had to Tuscan-ize this arrangement a bit, so I added my metal wall decor and hung a fall wreath from it. I sat my Tuscan canisters and two topiaries on either side.

I love this wreath.

In the below picture, I added a simple porcelain pumpkin.
On this shelf, I added the other matching Autumn plate and placed a pumpkin in a basket.
Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic weekend! XO, ~Liz

Fall Decorating ~ With Owls

Can I get a WOOT-WOOT? Owls are so fun to incorporate into your fall decor.
Some people may incorporate black birds, some may use Roosters, some may use Owls, I incorporate all three, ha!
I found this little guy at Rite Aid, 50% off.
These Owls were from Rite Aid, too! Last years Owls.
Just add some fall leaves and set an Owl beside it and you have a cute vignette.
Set an Owl in a basket with some greenery and fall berries.
This owl I set on the hearth, he sits beside a fall berry swag and a lantern.
I bring this Owl out every year!
See my Fall Tree? Well, I made it an Owl themed tree and an Owl sits perched atop a bed of leaves.
I made the owl my tree topper.
Owls can be seen in various parts of the tree.
This is my Autumn tree from last year, can you spot an owl?
What animals, if any, do you incorporate into your Autumn Decor?
Thanks for visiting, friends! xo, Liz

Autumn Table Display

Hi there! I hope everyone is having a fantastic week! Well, the weather here in Washington has changed, it is now cooler and rainy, so I am back in “nesting” mode, ha!
I started off by hanging a fall wreath from my mirror using burlap ribbon.
Two Tuscan style pots sit beside a galvanized metal basket  holder which is filled with wooden acorns and a mix of faux pumpkins and gourds.
The colors POP against the black table and mirror.
The Gourds in the wreath mimic the Gourds in the metal basket.
The Pineapple basket I always use in entryways, because the pineapple symbol has been a universal sign of hospitality and welcome for many centuries all over the world.
If you have a basket, a basket of any shape and size….just toss some pumpkins and fall leaves inside, and ba-bam, instant color and impact!
Beside my table sits two Tuscan style chairs, and this completes my foyer Fall Display!
I have a ton of things to show you, so stay tuned!
Thanks for stopping by! XOXO, ~Liz

Putting My Passion To Work

Fall is my all time favorite time of year. The cool crisp air, the changing of the leaves, spiced pumpkin candles, amber colored sunsets, fall boots and sweaters….be still my heart!  When August rolls around, I can’t hold back any longer, it’s time to decorate for FALL.
My true passion is decorating for Fall and Christmas. I really put my heart and soul into it. I do decorate early to enjoy it for as long as I can. 🙂 Are any of you the same way?
Last week, I worked hard and pulled out all my fall goodies.
I purchased this Autumn arrangement from Hobby Lobby years ago and look forward to bringing it out each year.
See these pumpkins? I purchased these from the Dollar Tree last year and placed them in a basket. Simple, but cute!
I love my Roo’s, so all I did here was add some fall leaves to my greenery and a sunflower, whala…Fall!
I think it’s great if you can add to existing arrangements, or greenery, so all I did here was place some fall corn on top of my arrangement.
In the photo above, I sat a small pumpkin on top of a small floral arrangement, adding that simple fall touch.
In the photo above and below, I got creative. I used two tuscan canisters, except, I tipped them upside down so I could use them as pedestals to showcase my pumpkins.  I liked the decorative base on them and wanted it to be visible. Why not, right? The tops are hidden, so no one would ever know. 🙂
I love the yellow Rooster against the orange in my wreath, the colors just POP!
I like to layer my greenery to add texture.
I added some fall corn to a basket and sat it on some faux Rosemary.
I have two lanterns hanging on either side on my hutch. So, I took two ordinary candles and jazzed them up a bit. I took two fall leaves and tied them around the candle with rope and tied a pumpkin embellishment to it!
Cute and simple.
Here is the hutch decked for Fall.
Add to your existing decor by simply adding fall leaves. I got this fall bushel from the Dollar Tree, $1.00….pick up several and place the leaves next to your everyday decor for that simple Autumn touch.
Or, place a pumpkin here and there.
Leaves can make a big impact without breaking the bank. Simple and pretty!
In this photo, I added some fall berry garlands to my topiary trees. The berry garlands add a great pop of fall color right where you need it.
Add to your existing faux ferns. I placed pumpkin sticks (which can be purchased from Safeway) right smack in the middle of the arrangement, and a few fall floral picks, easy peasy!
If you go to Michael’s, or any craft store they usually sell fall “fillers” to be placed in bowls, candle sconces, jars, etc…. I picked up a box and filled my candle scones with these fall colored Styrofoam balls.  See the pumpkin I set on top? Well, it’s actually a salt and pepper shaker, LOL! Whose going to know, right?
I love the pop of color when I enter the Dining Room.
You could place a small candle in amongst the Styrofoam balls, too!
Hutches are always fun to decorate through the seasons.
Our Fall Dining Room, comfortable, cozy, and casual!
Love the Autumn glow to the room.
I hope you enjoyed some of my fall ideas. I can’t wait to see everyone’s fall decorating, I just love this time of year! Thanks for stopping by! XOXO, ~Liz
