Adding Green To The Dining Room

Hello, sweet friends! Sorry for not posting in awhile, summer calls…;) Today, I would like to share my dining room. I had a lot of yellow in this room and decided to swap out the yellow for more green accents.
I added a plate, book box, rustic pot and garden ball, and a candle holder with greenery on top.
I love pots that are rustic in appearance.
I grouped this little set together and draped some green grapes from the pitcher.
I really like adding wreaths to my arched gates or iron embellishments.
I always add garden balls to the mix.
Here is our hutch with more green accents.
I added some burlap looking lamps to the top of my hutch. The ceiling is tall, so I like the way the light bounces off the ceiling.
I love my arched wood and metal gate. You may recall this gate in my old kitchen window, although I had two of them side by side.

No room would be complete without a rooster, ha!
Do any of your remember this table? It used to be white. I spray painted the chairs and table legs to black to match the hutch.
I just love black furniture, because when you accessorize with any color, it pops! I can’t wait for fall, I am ready for fall colors. 😉
Green is my favorite color.
I like to layer items, and I don’t always like things to be matchy-matchy. So, I added placemats and an animal print table runner.
Green  jugs and grapes.
The animal print table runner goes with my black furniture.
On one of the hutch shelves, I added this little canvas picture that says Parsley and placed a faux plant beside it.
The dining room is so hard to take a picture of because there are so many windows, which makes the room look washed out, so I apologize.
Even at night, the lighting isn’t right, unless it is DARK. 😉
I added a few black accents, too!
I did leave some yellow pieces in the room.
Isn’t it fun to change things and accessorize with different colors or pieces? I think so! 😉
I hope all of you are enjoying the wonderful summer days! 🙂
I’ll be back later this week to share my other dining area and kitchen Baker’s rack. I added more yellow.
Thanks for stopping by! XOXO, ~Liz

Use What You Have

Hi there! Today, I would like to share a simple arrangement I created using items I had in my storage area.
It’s no secret, I love Roosters! So, here is the breakdown on the items used. Simple, simple, simple! Below is an old pot that I was no longer using. I like the base of it and knew I could conceal the top portion at a later time, and now is the time! 🙂
It’s all about layering items, so I sat this wreath right on top of the pot.
 Then came the Rooster.
And then a wire Cloche.
Then some floral picks.
I pulled the ivy out of this arrangement to use for my new arrangement.
Base + wreath
+ Rooster
+ Wire Cloche
+ Ivy And Floral Picks
Ta Da…..DONE!
No hot glue required, allowing me to re-purpose or use the items differently at a later date.
I sat this arrangement on a tray and placed some garden balls beside it!
Thanks for stopping by, and have layering items you’re not using, you might just end up loving it! 🙂
XO, ~Liz
