The Living Room Christmas Tree

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Today, I would like to share our living room tree decorated for Christmas.
Red and Green is the traditional theme running through the house this holiday season.
You may spot another tree in the distance. I decorated a tree in our dining room, too!

I placed a lit Christmas present on the top of the tree, this acts as my tree topper. The kids think it’s a bit whimsical and fun!

Last year, in addition to selling a bunch of my Christmas and every day decor (when we moved), we also donated a bunch of it to various charities. So, rather than running out and blowing a bunch of money on ornaments, I decided to fill in with Deco Mesh. All my trees are whimsical and funky for this very reason. πŸ˜‰

Next year, I would like to go with a more traditional look. This year, I used what I had left in the garage. πŸ˜‰

Here is a pano shot. I also have a tree in my foyer. My goal was to have three trees in the front windows, so that at night, the house exudes Christmas. I love this time of year!;)

The picture above it a sneak peek of the exterior.
So, did any of you get snow on Thanksgiving? We got snow two days later and boy did it put us in a Christmas mood!  On Sunday, we went to a Christmas tree farm (in the snow) and cut down a real Christmas tree.  The “real” Christmas Tree is up in our movie theater, so I hope to show that to you soon. No deco mesh in this tree, lol! πŸ™‚
Thanks for visiting!

  10. Wow, every corner is just beautiful, Liz! It's just always so much fun to see your creativity, especially during Christmas. Our son and family now live in the Washington DC area, and they got some snow on Thanksgiving Eve, but not as much as you got! Looks beautiful!

  11. Liz your home looks so beautiful and cozy. Love the traditional colors you used- to me they are the best! Your home looks awesome with the lights trimming the outline- and hooray for you that you got snow! We've had snow on and off but it keeps melting. Hope to see your tree in the media room soon!

  12. Gorgeous Liz ! Love all the decomesh ..it is a great filler! Your home looks so beautiful lit up ! Our snow is all gone .. hope we get so,e more soon!

  13. I don't know how to say, You've out did yourself, Liz. πŸ˜‰ It's really beautiful. I didn't even notice the tree missing ornaments. The snow just made your winter wonderland even more lovely. Not a smidgen of snow here but we did have a few flurries during a really tough cold snap a few weeks ago. We don't see much snow in NW. GA. but we do get a few inches on occasion. I think the blizzard of 93' where it dumped 26" of snow in our town kinda put all of us southerners in shock. I was fun though. ha.
