Are you ready for your mouth to water, because it surely will when you make this dressing!
This recipe is so basic, but full of so much flavor. Here you go…
FOR THE CAESAR DRESSING:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 Tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice (1/2 a large lemon)
2 Cloves Grated Garlic
1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
Salt and fresh black pepper, to taste!
I double the recipe for my family and I also add a little lemon zest, and add a squeeze or two more lemon juice.
This chicken is the BOMB, let me tell you! So incredibly juicy, tender, and flavorful. If you don’t have a cast iron pan, you need to get one, you’ll never cook your chicken in anything else. You can buy one at Walmart/Target, or any kitchen store.
FOR THE CHICKEN:
Wash and pat chicken completely dry. Add the following:
Sprinkle over chicken, front and back.
Cajun’s Choice Creole Seasoning
Garlic Powder
Herbs de Provence
Salt
Pork Rub
Black Pepper
Get your cast iron pan nice and hot. I put it on medium heat for 5 minutes prior to searing the chicken. Place a few tablespoons of vegetable oil in the pan right before you place the chicken in. Place chicken down and cook for 5-7 minutes a side, DON’T TOUCH THE CHICKEN, let it get a good sear on both sides….this holds in all the tasty juice, trust me! 😉 Now place it in the oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes….you’re house will smell like a restaurant.
This is how it looks when it’s all sliced up, tender and juicy.
FOR THE SALAD:
3 Romaine Hearts, wash, and slice into bite size peices.
Cucumbers sliced
Organic Cherry Tomatoes: sprinkle sea salt, garlic powder, and black pepper on them.
Toss Salad
You can make homemade croutons or get store bought.
I purchased some store bought dinner rolls. When they came out of the oven I brushed the tops with a butter, garlic powder, and Herbs de Provence mixture. So, yummy!
I hope you will try this, it is SUPER good, promise! 😉
XO,
~Liz~
The salad dressing sounds delicious, Liz, as does the chicken recipe. Most Caesar salad dressings have anchovy paste, which I do not like. Will be giving this one a try!Warm hugs,Carol
Oh honey, this has my mouth watering alright! Thanks!!!! Sounds SOOOO good1
Liz, Everything look so good. I love my cast iron skillets, and will definitely try my chicken this way.
This whole meal looks so yummy! We are having home guests soon and now I have at least one meal planned! Thank you…
The salad dressing looks yummy and so does the chicken. I'll make note of the recipes. I'll have to check out the Herbs de Provence. I have a lot of spices but not that one. I don't own a cast iron skillet either!
Look so good. I will definitely be trying this out!!
Looks delicious! I will have to try making that homemade dressing instead of using the bottled (probably less preservatives too, which is better for you!) Thanks for sharing!
The salad dressing sounds so good to me. I am making fish for today and a Caesar salad would be perfect for our side dish.
Looks amazing! Thank you for sharing..I will be making this for dinner on the weekend!
Yummy looking recipes Liz! Plan to try them soon. Glad to see a post from you today.Have a great weekend. Hope all is well with you and your family – busy I'm sureJeannette
Hi Carol,I'm not much of an anchovy fan either, so this recipe is FANTASTIC for those of us that don't care for anchovies. 😉
Hi Sandy,I think you will love this recipe, I'm making it again tonight, my kids and hubby LOVE IT!
Hi Juani,I swear, you will never make your chicken any other way. The cast iron skillet locks in all the juice which makes the chicken so tender and juicy.
Hi Pinky,You're welcome. 🙂
Herbs de Provence is my go to seasoning for EVERYTHING! Love. love. love.
Hi Ellie, I hope you'll like it! 🙂
Hi Jeanette,Yes, we are always busy around here. 🙂 Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful weekend!
Hi Jennifer,You will LOVE it, promise! The cast iron skillet is KEY! 🙂
Hi Candy,Thanks for visiting. You can make this dressing in your blender, just throw everything in and mix and then refrigerate before tossing into salad, about an hour. – all the ingredients mesh together and makes for a very flavorful dressing. 🙂
Hi Veronica,Yes, much healthier and tasterier for sure. Hope you enjoy! 🙂
My family loves cooking with cast iron. Using cast iron is healthier and gives the food a better flavor! Thank you for sharing the dressing recipe. A healthy option instead of store bought dressing. Thank you for sharing!
Everything looks so delicious!
