We found a house on 10 Acres, yippie!

Hi everyone! Well, we are officially under contract, and due to close June 15th! We can’t wait to be in Virginia…home, sweet home!
So this is the house we fell in love with.
This is our first resale home we’ve ever bought. We usually buy new to ensure things are under warranty and turn key, so this is new for us.
It’s an all brick house, 3 levels, completely finished.
The house is surrounded by plenty of trees on rolling hills.
It has a maintenance free deck.
The grounds are beautiful.
It even has a climate controlled wine cellar, and I barely drink, y’all!
Come on in…
I wonder if the wine comes with the house, lol! Probably not!
It was 56 degrees when we walked in.
This house has lots of heavy trim work, which we love and have always wanted.
Check out the huge Palladian windows in the living room.
The staircase splits the master bedroom from the rest of the rooms.
Here is the mudroom. I don’t even know what to do with this space, but I’m sure once I’m in, the ideas will start coming.
Here is the staircase.
The family room is a step down and the whole main level is all hardwood flooring.
Here is the office.
This house needs some minor updating, which will lead to some fun projects.
So there you have it, our house to be. More pictures to come…
***Maybe I’ll call my blog…the Colonial Home! πŸ™‚

On a sad note, I lost my father two weeks ago, today. If you all wouldn’t mind keeping my family in prayer, I would really appreciate it. We will have the funeral in 2-3 weeks, and then our move, it’s a lot to handle all at once, sniff!

Thanks for visiting! xo, Liz
